DIY: Dress & Giveaway

I finally photographed my dress! 

A few weeks ago, I came across a blue and white floral fabric that just looked fabulously fresh and summer-like. So I bought it and went home straight away and drew inspiration from a few different dresses before sketching out a quick design for a dress of my own. 

I didn't use any patterns, I pretty much just went for it and I couldn't be happier with the outcome; it's exactly as I pictured it. Getting it to fit perfectly around the bust was a little tricky, but definitely worth the effort.

I wore it to my work Christmas party Monday night and received a fair few compliments, which was a great pat on the back.

So now for the giveaway details.

To be in the running to win this pink/purple handmade, one-of-a-kind Vacant Lake flower crown, you'll need to simply become a fan of Vacant Lake on Facebook, share this image and post a comment on the photo telling me what your favourite thing about summer time is. You must complete all 3 steps in order to be eligible to win. The most creative entry will be announced on Facebook and postage will be arranged.

The only other existing headband of this kind is pictured right (the blue/purple one). For hygiene reasons I have only modelled the blue version for you.

1. This giveaway will close at midnight AEST on January 21, 2013 and the winner will be announced on January 22, 2013 via Facebook and will be sent a notification email. I decided to run this long since Christmas and New Years intervenes and I want to give everyone the opportunity to enter. 

2. Anyone within Australia can enter. Unfortunately this is not an International giveaway.
